Ron English Saber Billboard is Back

I though my eyes are playing tricks on me. The Ron English Saber collaboration billboard has been covered for months with a Ryan Seacrast KIIS FM ad. Somehow, the original billboard appeared again. I thought that it was redone, but it looks to be the exact same one. Here are the original pictures of the billboard, there is also a video showing Saber paint the billboard.

Holy Crap Batman Our Billboards are Getting Destroyed

The Dark Night Batman movie hits theaters tomorrow, July 18. The batman billboards which have been up for weeks, have been hit by Los Angeles graffiti writers all over the city. Remember the Saber/Ron English Billboard from April?

This video shows him painting the billboard in Los Angeles on La Cienega Blvd. during broad daylight. The footage also has a small clip of him in front of a mural that he was painting for the new LA Weekly office.

LA Writer Spotlight: NAUT

We give credit where credit is due. In my travels around Los Angeles, I have seen Naut up in some really difficult spots. He seems to favor back of billboards in areas that ensure long time visibility. Here is a small collection of his work.

Billboard on La Cienega

Getting to the back of a billboard is just as difficult to as the front. It is a bit easier to do the work. The advantage however, is that the graffiti is almost always guaranteed stay up longer.

I have been driving past this billboard for what seems like many years. I finally took a picture. It is on La Cienega, close to the 10 East Freeway in Los Angeles.

The McDonald's billboard on La Brea and Wilshire in Los Angeles, gets a much needed addition. Nothing goes better with Egg McMuffin than some graffiti.

Saber / Ron English Billboard Gets Replaced

I am sad to report that the awesome Saber, Ron English billboard collaboration has been replaced by a KIIS FM billboard. It seems that someone else was upset about the replacement as well. Ryan Seacrest's face has paint all over it. I must admit, it is an improvement.

It's always fun to see how billboards change. The Obey Giant billboard on Pico in Los Angeles that I posted about 3 weeks ago now has some new graffiti on it. Some of the same people hit this billboard as the ones that painted at the Plant Nursery.

Saber Billboard Greetings from the Occupation

This morning I was treated to an amazing billboard done by Saber. The billboard is on La Cienega Blvd, a few blocks south from Pico Blvd on the way to the 10 Freeway.

The left side of the billboard has a picture of a soldier dressed as a clown. To the right of it says "Greetings from the Occupation" and under it says: "Wish You Weren't Here." To the right of it there is a Saber piece.




It is a really impressive billboard. I don't expect it to stay up long so I urge you take a look if you are in the neighborhood.

Los Angeles Graffiti Going Strong

I take the same freeway exit day after day. It is the La Cienega exit from the 10 East. Nothing makes the same boring exit better than some fresh graffiti. Last week I was greeted by an LGFKings piece.


Billboards are getting hit as well. This picture was taken Monday night. I assume that it was done over the weekend. This was done by Saut.
